The weather of 2021 has taken its toll - to say the least - on the magnificent footbridge installed by the Commune of Bex. Destroyed and moved by the bad weather, it is no longer of any use, and crossing the Avançon may prove very uncertain, if not impossible, depending on the flow of the day...
The old route often proved difficult to cross the Avançon, so it has been modified. From 2021, new markers have been put in place, and the route remains on the left bank (in the direction of the current). The Avançon can now only be crossed near Les Mas, by a footbridge built outside the alluvial zone.

Paper maps are only updated every 6-8 years.
